Thank you family and friends...

Aparna was released from the hospital and we finally came home Monday morning at 2 AM. The hardest part was leaving the hospital without our son. We know it will be weeks for him to come home and we know the best place for him is in the NICU, but we are still saddened and can't wait to bring him home.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank all of you who came and visited, called, emailed, text messaged, and read our blog. There are so many people to thank and acknowledge. Special shout-outs to Eric, Wally, and Mamie, who came through Wednesday night, took care of Aparna, drove Joel home to pack, brought treats, and bought tacos! To Aparna's parents, who came throughout the week and weekend bringing good food and taking care of us while we took care of each other and Coyo. To Joel's parents and family, who drove from farthest reaches of California (Los Angeles, Culver City, Sacramento... uh, the Tri-valley!) to be with us. Thanks to our friends - Kathy; Mel and James; Anjali, James, and lil Kalini; and Sierra, Mirko, and Soheila! And to everyone who has passed on their words of congratulations, encouragement, prayers, and love... our heartfelt and deep gratitude to you all.

Totally unexpected.... Aparna was at work until 6:30 PM!

Since Topecito is 8 weeks premature he'll need to stay in the hospital nursery for several weeks but he looks and sounds beautiful!

WE ARE SO BLESSED TO WELCOME OUR CHILD INTO THE WORLD!
